The Most Wonderful Man In My Life

I know about your life,
I know about your struggles,
I know about your sighs,
And I know about your flaws.

You aren't perfect, nobody is.
I know you made mistakes, but that's all in the past.
You have given me great lesson, I know I ought to learn.
During the heartbreaking moments, I've seen you at your worse.

Father, you are not alone and never will be.
I have been there even when you didn't notice me.
I've seen your tears and I still remember,
The time when you said that you cared for us all.

You smile but I can see the lines of hopelessness,
You might not be that strong but you're courage is tremendous.
I might have disobeyed you somehow in the past,
Forgive me, I didn't mean to hurt you at all.

My dearest dad, I hope you'd see somehow,
That soon I'll live a life of my own,
My brothers and sisters won't always be there,
And you won't always be here,
So let's live life like it's our first and our last.

As you grow older, I know it won't be long,
That I must face the fact that I need to be strong.
As the eldest, I have a great responsibility,
And that is to carry the weight that is pass upon me.

But how could I, if you won't let me go?
You're the wall that halts me wherever I go.
You may not know it, but I feel so far,
The priorities made don't go always as planned.

I love you and that would never change,
Forget all the bad, forget all the blames.
Without you, there is no me in this world.
Without you, there would be no lessons learned.

Please be kind and gentle as can be,
I care and love you forever, you see?
Darkness should not overcome the simplest of love,
Whatever happens, you'll always be the best dad.
